Talent Acquisition Specialist

The Talent Acquisition Specialist – Malaysia leads the local recruitment process of attracting and matching candidates to local temporary or permanent positions within defined lead times and budget. This role is responsible for building professional relationships (both internal as external), leading and improving the selection process, managing advertisements, social media & events.

• Lead full-cycle recruitment across functions, from workforce planning to onboarding, with a focus on quality, speed, and candidate experience.

• Develop and manage the recruitment process and team to ensure the job positions are filled within the defined lead times and budget.

• Develop staffing and recruiting plans in collaboration with the Leadership team members, HR partners and external parties.

• Act as a strategic partner to hiring managers and HRBPs, advising on hiring best practices, market intelligence, and workforce trends.

• Liaise with hiring managers and interviews teams to define job requirements, expectations and appropriate assessment criteria.

• Manage and optimize recruitment processes through SmartRecruiters, ensuring data accuracy, process compliance, and reporting efficiency.

• Utilize various sourcing methods, including job boards, social media, and networking events, to identify and attract potential candidates.

• Receive and review applications, manage interviews and test and create candidate shortlists.

• Schedule and coordinate interviews with hiring manager and prepare candidates for interviews by providing detailed information about the role and the company.

• Partner with the Global Talent Acquisition team to support regional and global hiring initiatives.

• Collaborate with HR Business Partners to negotiate on the compensation packages and extend the job offers to the successful candidate.

• Responsible for the recruitment budget and ensure that all costs are within AOP budget.

• Build partnerships with preferred suppliers and evaluate, negotiate the most optimal service level agreements.

• Identify the Recruitment events, work on candidate engagement, improving company equity with campuses and local talent pool.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with universities to support our internship and graduate hiring programs; coordinate campus events, career talks, and internship placements.

• Analyze key TA metrics and provide regular updates on hiring performance, pipeline health, and time-to-fill.

• Coordinate with HR team, SHE, Quality, and others department to ensure a smooth onboarding process for the new employees.

• Manage PO requests and approvals for event-related, any purchases, manpower expenses in alignment with procurement and finance policies.
